Abstract

A 360-degree Virtual Tour is a learning tool that can help students understand concepts in a contextual way by exploring real-world environments in a digital format. In mathematics education, particularly when teaching the area and perimeter of two-dimensional shapes, this tool allows students to observe objects in their surroundings that have geometric shapes. This innovation is designed to enhance students’ understanding of mathematical concepts through interactive and contextual learning experiences. The research focuses on how the integration of technology-based media can foster students’ engagement and interest in learning mathematics. The study employed a design research method involving fifth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and analysis of student worksheets. The results indicate that students became more active, were able to connect mathematical concepts to real-life contexts, and began to understand the material more deeply. It can be concluded that this learning medium is effective in supporting meaningful and contextual mathematics learning.
